擇校 | 八所藤校附加文書攻略：誰家是你的真愛，你又是誰家的菜（上）

又是一年申請季，蓋普的同學們經(jīng)過酸爽的文書頭腦風暴，回顧了過去十幾年的成長歷程，從興趣特長、挑戰(zhàn)、成就、解決問題或者自立題目寫出自己特有的熱情想法、核心特質(zhì)乃至人格魅力。
如果說Common文書是學生單方呈現(xiàn)自我認知，那附加文書就要講述學生與夢校兩方如何契合，大到價值觀，小到個人喜好。常見的附加文書類型有Why School，Why Major以及創(chuàng)意想法這三種類型的題目。
那么人人景仰的常春藤八所學校的附加文書想問什么，看重學生的哪些方面呢？請跟蓋普資深文書Emma老師一起來看一看吧~

普林斯頓大學
1.In addition to the essay you have written for the Common Application, please write an essay of about 500 words (no more than 650 words and no fewer than 250 words). Using one of the themes below as a starting point, write about a person, event, or experience that helped you define one of your values or in some way changed how you approach the world. 顧問綜合解析：作為US News Ranking綜合大學排名榜首的藤校，普林斯頓大學一直是精英教育的代表，在273年的建校史上，學校走出過大批的科學家、文學家和政治家，對美國的社會文明做出過很大的貢獻，美國獨立戰(zhàn)爭也在這里贏得第一次勝利，所以正如題目所言，學校非常注重每個學生的三觀、個性和學術(shù)高度。

顧問綜合解析：作為家喻戶曉的藤校，哈佛大學培養(yǎng)了8位美國總統(tǒng)和133位諾貝爾獎得主（世界第一），被公認為是當今世界最頂尖的高等教育機構(gòu)之一，所以學校也非常看重學生對學術(shù)的熱情和追求，這一點從第1題就可以直接看出。而且，哈佛大學明顯區(qū)別于其他藤校的特點是其對于未來領袖的尋找和培養(yǎng)，第2題的10個可選題目可以描寫個人經(jīng)歷、人品的拷問、學術(shù)成就、公民意識，以及對學校的貢獻等，甚至是像比爾蓋茨和扎克伯克一樣休學或者延遲入學的個人目標。

在2017美國大學招生協(xié)會（NACAC）暑期研討會上，哈佛大學招生官坦言申請的學生都太優(yōu)秀，所以他們考慮的錄取因素甚至包括學生能不能和室友好好相處，所以申請哈佛大學的同學們真的要在每個申請的步驟呈現(xiàn)自己的畢生之力、之智、之才來思考和表達自己。

顧問綜合解析：歸納耶魯?shù)奈臅浑y看出學校在變著法的問學生的內(nèi)在驅(qū)動力，學術(shù)興趣和人生目標，和耶魯大學契合的點以及對學校的貢獻。
耶魯大學非常重視本科教育，像耶魯大學里古老的建筑一樣，其厚重的人文底蘊一直讓其他名校無法企及，所以學校也希望學生期待本科教育，對自己的學術(shù)和人生目標非常清楚。
同時，從附加文書題目也可以看出，耶魯大學關(guān)心學生到了學校之后能否找到自己的位置和角色，從而體現(xiàn)自己的價值，這個和耶魯大學的官方宣傳片不謀而合。紙短情長是很多學生寫類似耶魯大學文書題目的難點之一，問題多，但答題字數(shù)少，所以同學們要回答的看似簡單而實則深刻。
舉個栗子，很多同學都參加過模擬聯(lián)合國會議，這個活動在今天已經(jīng)被說成是陳詞濫調(diào)。而我們的C同學，能從模聯(lián)會議中不同角色需要的能力談及模聯(lián)教育，若諸葛亮躬耕隴畝能知天下之事，“紙上談兵”，以深刻的想法打動了面試官，一舉拿到耶魯?shù)匿浫 ?/span>
